Let's have some fun- leave me a comment with what you think are "must-haves" in your purses and I will enter your name in a drawing for this handmade cosmetic bag. I will put all the names in a basket between now and Sunday night October 20th. On Monday the 21st I will have Abi pick a name out of the basket and will announce the winner on my blog. So share the word about the give-a-way with your family and friends.

Pretty purse organizer!
When I was on jury duty recently, I was intimidated to know that my purse would be searched/scanned each time I went in to serve. So not only did I clean out my purse, I decided (at Kati's suggestion) to buy a little wristlet to hold all my "essentials." In it I put my license, my debit card, cash (I never carry much), a small hand sanitizer, my lipstick, and a couple of tissues. Then when I got to the courthouse, I could just remove the wristlet from my purse and carry it in, leaving all the other stuff in my van.
I was pretty amazed to see what little I could get by with having with me. And I used the wristlet for non-court days too...like when walking through the zoo, or running in a store. I surprised myself!
I like to have a small notepad, pen, and my calendar in my purse along with the essentials like keys, ibuprofen, and my wallet.
I am a minimalist by nature so I only carry the essentials: my wallet, keys, sunglasses, pen, a small container of wet wipes (I have kids!), and a small notebook. I used to include my calendar in that list, but now I use a different calendar system that is too big for a purse.
